Moving Tips
Packing:
Remember to remove any heavy or breakable items from dressers and desks. Seal tightly all liquid items such as cleaning supplies.
Fragile Items:
Keep fragile items safe by packing them correctly.
Labeling:
For easier unpacking, label your boxes.
Golden Rule:
The heavier the item(s), the smaller the box! This makes it much easier to carry and move. Use large boxes for lighter items.
One Box, one room:
Remember to pack the same room in the same box without mixing. This makes it easier for you when It’s time for unpacking.
Plan Ahead:
Try to have everything ready and packed on moving day as this will save the crews time and in essence it will save you money.
Let us know where to park our truck and how to best access the home or apartment. If you live in an apartment, confirm with management if the elevator or loading dock is available to us for your move.
If we are moving any refrigerator, make sure to defrost and disconnect ahead of the move. Washers, Dryers and stoves should be previous disconnected and ready to be moved.
